Dr. Ying Zhao received her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario, where she stayed and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Respirology Fellowship. After completing subspecialized training in Sleep Medicine at Western, Dr. Zhao pursued further Sleep Medicine training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and received a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. She has published a number of peer reviewed papers with a focus on the association between cardiovascular disease and sleep disordered breathing. Upon returning to Canada, Dr. Zhao joined the Sleep Clinic as an Associate physician in 2016. She also has a busy outpatient respirology practice in Burlington and is a staff respirologist at Joseph Brant Hospital.
